TYPES OF TRAINING WE OFFER

The Scarlet Knights Track and Field Club was created to help provide year-round elite-level coaching and top-level facilities for athletes of all ages and skill level.

We are committed to developing athletes of all ages and skill levels to their greatest potential. Our club provides technical training, camps and programing for both Club members and Non-Club Members.

SPRINTS & HURDLES

All athletes will have the chance to train directly with Rutgers sprints/hurdles coaches, Bobby Farrell and Albert Essilfie.

Sprint and hurdle technique will be the primary focus in these sessions. You won't find this kind of year round personal training and resources anywhere in the state. Tools that will be used are video, laser timers, run rocket resistance machines and the 1080 Sprint Machine.

During the winter and early spring, athletes will train on our 330m indoor track. This is a tremendous resource for our high school athletes and coaches who find it difficult to have speed, block and hurdle access in the winter. In the late spring, summer and fall training we move to our outdoor facility.

JUMPS (LJ, TJ, HJ)

All athletes will have the chance to train directly with Rutgers jumps coach, Corey Crawford.

You won't be able to beat this kind of personal coaching and facility access. Athletes will train in our 330m indoor track. They'll have access to a full long jump/triple jump runway and sand pit. High jumpers will have full access to apron and HJ pits.

This is a tremendous resource for our high school athletes and coaches who find it difficult to have speed, block and hurdle access in the winter. In the late spring, summer and fall training we move to our outdoor facility.

THROWS

All athletes will have the chance to train directly with Rutgers throws coach, Rod Cocci.

Training will focus on all aspects of throwing technique and programing. Implements and training tools will be provided every session. Our indoor facility is unlike any in the entire northeast of the country. It will allow the training for all 4 throwing events, shot put, discus, hammer and javelin. This is a tremendous resource during our winter months where finding proper throws access is difficult. Late spring, summer and fall training will move to our outdoor facility.

TRAINING CAMPS

Camps are open to members and non members. Learn more about our camps. Our coaches are waiting to meet you.
